Box Score Niagara University, NY- The Niagara University women's tennis team delivered a dominant performance, sweeping Daemen College 7-0. The Purple Eagles controlled the match from start to finish, securing victories across all singles and doubles competitions to notch an emphatic win.
 
To start off doubles action Isabel Garcia and Gabriela Melo beat the Daemen duo 6-1 in the first position. Larisa Kotok and Valeria Mora took care of the Wildcats pair 6-0 in the second position. Rounding out doubles action, Mercedes Velasco and Saloni Tamang secured the last doubles match 6-4.
 
In singles play Melo led off for the Purple Eagles in the first position, defeating her opponent in a hard-fought match 3-6, 6-3, (10-7). Garcia defeated her opposition in both sets with a score of 6-2. Kotok dominated her match, securing a back-to-back 6-0 sets.
 
Tamang surrendered only one game, which came in the second set as she went on to win 6-0 and 6-1. To round out singles action in the fifth and sixth positions, Mora and Velasco took care of their singles opponents, to help secure the clean sweep in singles action.
