BOSTON, Mass. - Niagara men's hockey forward Maxim Muranov has been named Atlantic Hockey America Rookie of the Week the conference announced Tuesday morning.
Muranov recorded four goals and three assists in the weekend sweep over Army. The Moskva, Russia native recorded the first hat trick by a Niagara player since 2018.
No freshman has found the back of the net more than four times in a single week in 2025-26. Seven points is tied for the AHA record by a freshman in a single weekend.Â
The Purple Eagles will return to the ice on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. when they take on RIT inside Dwyer Arena.
