Cornell Tops Niagara

Box Score ITHACA, N.Y. - The Niagara women's tennis team fell to Cornell in a dominant showing by the Big Red, who swept all seven points Firday.

Despite strong efforts from several Purple Eagles, Cornell proved formidable. The tandem of Gabriela Melo and Isabel Garcia came closest in doubles play, pushing their opponents Michelle Ryndin and Hoi Ki Jenny Wong before falling 7-5 at the No. 1 position.

In singles action, Saloni Tamang battled at the No. 2 spot while Larisa Kotok showed resilience at No. 4, though both ultimately came up short. Valeria Mora forced a third-set tiebreaker against Cornell's Seychelle Balog at No. 5 singles before dropping a 6-4, 6-7(6), [10-3] decision.
