Box Score Cleveland, OH—The Niagara women's tennis team closed out its non-conference schedule on Sunday as they traveled to Cleveland to take on Cleveland State. The Purple Eagles fell 7-0 to the Vikings.
Doubles
Elena Mayet and Larisa Kotok fell 6-2 in first doubles.
Coral Rodriguez and Gabriela Melo were slotted in second doubles but fell 7-5 in their match.
Jaida Borg and Enrica Favaron were slotted in third doubles but could not take a game in their match as they fell 6-0.
Singles
Melo played in the top singles position. She fell in straight sets 7-5, 7-6.
Borg played in second singles and fell 6-0, 6-2.
Mercedes Velasco won three games in both of the sets she played in third singles but fell 6-3, 6-3.
Enrica Favaron was slotted in fourth doubles. She fell 6-2 in the first set and 6-3 in the second set.
Kotok opened her fifth singles match with a 7-6 win in the first set. She fell 6-3 in the second set and then dropped the tiebreaking set.
Valeria Mora played in sixth singles for the Purple Eagles. She fell in straight sets 6-1, 6-1.
