Amherst, N.Y.—The Niagara women's tennis team closed out the fall season this weekend as they competed in the Buffalo Duals. The weekend consisted of teams playing together in mixed matches.
Saturday
Elena Mayet and Jada Borg teamed up in doubles as they faced a team from Buffalo. The duo fell 6-2 in the doubles match.
Enrica Favaron and Larisa Kotok also played a team from Buffalo in doubles. They also fell to the Bulls 6-3.
Five Purple Eagles were in action in singles again Buffalo.
Kotok was the lone Purple Eagle to win her singles match against UB. She fell 6-4 in the first set but responded in the second set with a 6-0 win. In the tiebreaker she won the back and forth set 14-12 for the match win.
Coral Rodriguez fell 6-1, 6-0 in her match.
Mercedes Velasco played a singles match against UB. She took just one game in the match as she fell 6-0, 6-1.
Freshman Valeria Mora fell to Buffalo in her match. She dropped the first set 6-1 and looked to respond in the second set. Despite winning four games she fell 6-4.
Favaron played just one set in her singles match and fell 6-4.
In their second match of the day, Niagara played St. John's and against Delaware. Niagara also played doubles against each team.
The duo of Kotok and Favaron won their match against St. John's by a score of 6-3.
Rodriguez fell in her match against St. John's. She dropped the first set 6-2 before falling 6-1 in the second set.
Jaida Borg fell in her first set against St. John's but responded in the second set with a 6-4 win. In the tiebreaker she fell 10-7.
Kotok dropped both her sets against 6-3 in her match against St. John's.
Mayet played in the fourth singles match against St. John's and fell in straight sets 6-2, 6-2.
Mercedes Velasco fell in straight sets in her match against Delaware.
Mora was unable to defeat Delaware in her singles match. She fell 6-3 in both sets.
Sunday
Niagara once again faced St. John's on Sunday while also facing Syracuse.
Rodriguez and Borg faced St. John's in doubles but fell to their counterparts 6-1.
Against Syracuse, Favaron and Kotok fell 6-3 in their doubles match.
Mayet and Mora both played against St. John's in singles matches.
Mayet fell in her singles match 6-1, 6-2.
Mora closed out the weekend for the Purple Eagles with a loss, 6-1, 6-1.

With the conclusion of the UB Duals, Niagara concludes their fall season. The Purple Eagles will be back in action for their championship season in the spring.
