WEST WINDSOR, NJ – The Niagara women's tennis team saw their season come to a close Saturday afternoon after falling to No. 1 Quinnipiac, 4-0, in the semifinals of the MAAC Women's Tennis Championship.

Singles
• In No. 1 singles,
Elena Mayet fell to Quinnipiac's Truden, 6-0, 6-3.

Megan Gamble failed to take a point in No. 2 singles, falling to Nella, 6-0, 6-0.
• In No. 6 singles, Mercedes Veleasco fell to Williams, 6-1, 6-1.
• All-MAAC First Team selection,
Erika Gonzalez took the first set 6-3 against Bradley and had a 3-2 lead before the dual was abandoned.
• The No. 3 and No. 4 singles matches were abandoned.
Doubles
• Niagara dropped all three doubles events, awarding the point to Quinnipiac.
Niagara Notes
• Saturday marked the third time in the last five seasons that Niagara made the MAAC Semifinals.
• The Purple and White finished the season 8-14 overall following the loss.
• Niagara entered the semifinal contest on a five match win streak, including thee-straight league wins.
