NIAGARA UNIV., NY - The Niagara University women's tennis program takes on rivals Buffalo and St. Bonaventure this Friday in Buffalo, N.Y. This will be the first dual matches for the Purple Eagles after its home match with Walsh University (Ohio) was canceled last Sunday.
On the Court
• Buffalo has dominated the series, winning 13 of the 16 meetings between the two programs since 2001.
• In 16 matches with St. Bonaventure, the Purple Eagles are 10-6, including wins in four of the last seven with the Bonnies.

Coral Rodriguez defeated the Terriers Varvarigos in her first singles match on Friday, an 8-3 win for the sophomore.
• In Flight B, Jaida Borg won her first match without surrendering a point to her opponent, 8-0.
• Erika Gonzalez won a competitive match, 8-7 (2), over Colgate's Atallah, before falling later in the afternoon on Friday to Siena's Boggiali.
• Megan Gamble picked up a win on Saturday, dropping Sacred Heart's Kempinski, 8-6.
• Niagara's duo of Shea and Borg picked up two wins in doubles play, including a 6-4 win over Sparhawk and DeNardo of Lafayette, followed by a 6-2 victory against Saint Francis' Castro and Rajesh.
• The pairing fell to Sacred Heart's Kempinski and O'Donavan in the Flight C semi's by a final of 6-2.
