The Niagara Purple Eagles will play three matches this weekend. Niagara will take on Carnegie Mellon and Buffalo on Saturday, and will play Daemen on Sunday.

  • The Purple Eagles defeated Rider, 6-1, to open their dual and conference schedule on September 21.
  • NU won the doubles point and then won five of the six singles matches.
  • Niagara went 1-2 last season against its next three opponents. The Purple Eagles lost to Carnegie Mellon and UB, and defeated Daemen.

  • Erika Gonzalez leads the Purple Eagles with a 6-2 record in singles and is on a four-match win streak. Gonzalez captured the "B" Consolation Singles Flight Consolation Final at the Bill & Sandra Moore Invitational.
  • Gonzalez and doubles partner Megan Gamble won the "B" Courage Doubles Flight Consolation title. The pair has won its last four matches.
  • Olga Donchu is second on the team in singles win with a 4-2 record.

  • CMU has played in three invitationals this fall.
  • Danna Taylor won the ITA Southeast Regional Singles Championship on September 23.
  • Lauren James leads the team in wins with a 10-1 record. Danna Taylor is next with an 8-0 mark.
  • In doubles, the team of Courtney Ollis and Danna Taylor is a team-best 6-0. The pair won the ITA Southeast Regional Doubles title.

  • The Bulls started the season competing at the Harvard Fall Classic from September 20-23.
