 The Niagara Purple Eagles continue conference action with a pair of road matches this weekend. Niagara play Fairfield on Saturday and against Siena on Sunday.

Scene Setter
  • The Purple Eagles are 0-2 in the MAAC and have four conference matches remaining. NU was edged by perennial power Quinnipiac, 4-3, and clipped by Marist, 5-2.
  • Their matches this weekend will go a long way in determining their conference tournament chances.
  • Niagara snapped a five-match skid with a 4-3 win at Lafayette on April 6.
  • NU rallied from a 3-2 deficit with wins in one and two singles to pull out the win.

Match Tidbits
  • Sophomore Olga has won her last three matches to improve to a team-best 9-8 in singles. Donchu, who is 2-0 in league matches, is 1-0 in two singles, is 5-4 in four singles and 2-2 in three singles.
  • The duo of Megan Gamble and Som have a record of 7-8 while playing together this season, including a 6-5 record in one doubles. The duo is 2-0 in league matches.
 
Across the Net: Fairfield Stags
  • Fairfield improved to 3-0 in the MAAC after rallying to beat Marist, 4-3, on April 11.
  • The Stags have won two straight and are 5-2 at home.  
  • The Purple Eagles have won four of the last five matches against Fairfield.

  • The Purple Eagles earned their third consecutive victory with a convincing 6-1 win over the Fairfield Stags
  • NU won all three double matches to win the point.
