ITHACA, N.Y. –  The Purple Eagles started their two-match weekend trip in Ithaca with a defeat to the Cornell Big Red, 7-0, on Saturday.

• The Purple Eagles dropped the doubles point, despite winning at No. 1 doubles.
• The duo of Chhinda Som and Megan Gamble defeated Katherine Nguyen and Ana Elhom, 6-3.
• Olga Donchu and Erika Gonzalez was edged, 6-4, in two doubles while Cornell won 6-2 in two doubles.
• Niagara lost all six singles matches in straight sets.
• Olga Donchu and Erika Gonzalez fell in close matches in four and six singles, respectively.
