 The Purple Eagles women's tennis team will face local foe the Buffalo Bulls on Friday and will travel to Syracuse to play the Colgate Raiders on Sunday.

Scene Setter

• NU opened its spring season with a 6-1 defeat to the Akron Zips on January 25.
• Shannon Wong rallied to win a three sets in No. 3 singles for Niagara's lone win in the match. The senior dropped the first set, 6-3, before winning the next two sets 6-2, 6-2.
• Olga Donchu, Megan Gamble, Chhinda Som and Wong all have two singles wins this season. The doubles team of Ali Hutchinson and Donchu is 2-2 on the season.

Across The Net: Buffalo Bulls

• UB, the two-time defending MAC champions, will play its first match of the spring season.
• The Bulls, who roster includes four seniors and two juniors, defeated Carnegie Mellon (5-2) in September in a match played on the Niagara Tennis Courts.
• Niagara is looking for its first win against UB since September 2002 (has lost last seven meetings)

Across The Net: Colgate Raiders

• The Raiders have dropped their first two spring matches against Siena (7-0) and Army (7-0). Colgate will play Villanova on February 2.
• Colgate returns four starters from last season's team.
