ORLANDO – The Niagara women's tennis team started its slate of Orlando matches with a pair of defeats.

  • The Purple Eagles won two of three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead.
  • In three doubles, Ali Hutchinson and Chhinda Som won 6-0.
  • The No. 2 team of Andreea Peteu and Stella Peisakhova grinded out a 7-6(6) win.
  • Niagara picked up two wins in singles.
  • Ali Hutchinson and Alexandria Whitney both won their respective matches, 6-0, 6-0, in five and six.
  • However, Norfolk State won four singles matches including one and four singles in three sets.
