Women’s Tennis Drops Matches To Akron, Bucknell

OLEAN, N.Y. – The Niagara University women's tennis team dropped a pair of matches to the Akron Zips and to the Bucknell Bison on Friday.

Match Summary
  • Niagara played two competitive doubles matches before losing both matches. The No. 2 doubles team of Sharlee Deshmukh and Andreea Peteu and No. 3 team of Chhinda Som and Ali Hutchinson both lost their matches, 6-4.
  • Stella Peisakhova, Niagara's No. 1, earned the Purple Eagles lone victory on the day when her opponent retired in the second set.
  • After winning her opening set, Peteu dropped the next two sets to fall in three sets in two singles.

  • Andreea Peteu picked up the Purple Eagles' only win with a straight set victory over Cayla Koch in three singles.
