WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – The Niagara women's tennis team was edged by the St. Bonaventure Bonnies, 4-3, on Sunday at the Village Glen Tennis Center.
Match Summary
- The Purple Eagles rallied from a 2-0 deficit to take a 3-2 lead.
- After dropping the doubles point and falling in two singles, Niagara got on the board in No. 3 singles when Sharlee Deshmukh topped Clara Herberts, 7-6, 6-2.
- Niagara's No. 1 Stella Peisakhova defeated Mara Martinez in three sets, 6-3, 0-6, 7-5, to tie the match at 2-2.
- The Purple Eagles took the lead when Sansriti Ranjan beat Dominique Mortier, 6-4, 7-6(7) in four singles.
- However, SBU won in six singles and squeaked out a win in four singles to clinch the match.
