WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – The Niagara women's tennis team cruised to a 7-0 win over Saint Peter's on Sunday to clinch a spot in the 2016 MAAC Tournament.
 
The Purple Eagles (9-10, 5-2 MAAC) displayed a strong performance on a quick turnaround after beating Marist in Poughkeepsie early Sunday morning.
 
Niagara won two of the three doubles matches to head into singles leading 1-0. The Purple Eagles won all six singles matches with Stella Peisakhova, Haley Hollins, Sydnee Wheeler and Sharlee Deshmukh all winning their fifth conference match.
 
NU concludes its regular season against Carnegie Mellon and Youngstown State on April 17.
