Ithaca, N.Y. – The Niagara women's tennis team was defeated by the Stony Brook Seawolves, 6-1, on Sunday.
 
The Purple Eagles' lone point came from Shannon Wong, improved to 6-5 in singles play in the spring. Wong outlasted Stony Brook's Louise Badoche, 7-5, 2-6, 10-8, in No. 4 singles.
 
Niagara begins conference play next weekend at home against Fairfield (March 19) and Siena (March 20).
