The Niagara Purple Eagles continue Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play when they play host to the Siena Saints this weekend. A doubleheader is scheduled for Friday with the first pitch slated for 1:00 p.m. The single game on Saturday is schedule for a first pitch at 12:00 p.m.
 
Purple Eagles 101 (5-14-1, 2-1-0 MAAC)

• The Purple Eagles enter this weekend after taking 2-of-3 from the Saint Peter's Peacocks in the opening weekend of conference play.
• The Niagara offense is led by Michael Fuhrman, Thomas Rodrigues, Joel Brophy, and Anthony Firenzi.
• Fuhrman, a junior, leads the team with a .377 average and is second with 11 RBIs, while also being a perfect 9-for-9 on stolen base attempts.
• The Palmyra, Pa. native was recently named the MAAC Player of the Week after batting .500 with a .696 on base percentage in five games last week.
• Redshirt senior Thomas Rodrigues is second for Niagara with a .328 batting average.
• Brophy, a sophomore from Burlington, Ont. is third on the squad with a .298 average.
• Firenzi, a senior out of Corte Madera, Calif. rounds out the top four, hitting at a .282 clip while leading the team with three homeruns and 12 RBIs.
• Freshman Zachary Kolodziejski leads the team on the mound with a 3-2 record to go with a 3.78 ERA, 26 strikeouts and nine walks in 33.1 innings pitched.

 
On the field: Siena Saints (4-14, 1-2 MAAC)

• Siena heads west with their four wins coming against the University of Connecticut, Ohio University (2), and Quinnipiac University.
• The Saints are led on offense by Justin Esquerra who sports a .306 average to go with a homerun and seven RBIs.
• Joe Drpich leads Siena with three homeruns and nine RBIs.
• Over a minimum of 18 innings pitched, Ed Lewicki leads the Saints' staff with a 2-1 record and a 4.00 ERA.

 
  Up Next for Niagara

• Following the weekend series against Siena, the Purple Eagles host Little Three rival St. Bonaventure for a doubleheader at Bobo Field. The first pitch is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
