NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. – The Niagara women's tennis team remained unbeaten in conference play with a convincing 7-0 victory against the Saint Peter's Peacocks on Sunday.

Niagara (10-5, 4-0 MAAC) racked up its second consecutive 7-0 win of the weekend after dispatching Monmouth on Saturday and Saint Peter's (3-9, 2-3 MAAC).

"The women were very professional in their approach to the matches this weekend," head coach Anthony Nguyen said. "Everyone did a great job of taking care of business on their respective courts. We look forward to getting ready this week for an important conference match against Fairfield next Saturday."

After winning the doubles point, NU strolled to six wins in singles including one by default. Paulina Velasquez won her MAAC-best 16th match with a straight set win No. 3 singles for her seventh consecutive victory. Ashley Ta downed Ivana Grbelja, 6-2, 6-1, in No. 2 singles. Iva Celan, Sarah Hellstern and Maria Ortiz all won their third straight match.

NU will host the Fairfield Stags on April 5.
