NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. - The Niagara women's tennis team was defeated, 6-1, by the Fairfield Stags on Saturday from the SportsPlex.

Niagara (5-17, 2-4 MAAC) was swept in doubles action against the MAAC leading Fairfield Stags (16-5, 7-0 MAAC). The matches were all close with the No. 1 tandem of Hilary Hansen and Alyssa Lucas falling 8-4 to Paulina Rys and Kristen.

In singles action, Hansen defeated Dana Postupack, 6-2, 6-0, for the Purple Eagles' lone win of the day.

Niagara closes out the regular season against the Manhattan Jaspers on Sunday from the SportsPlex.
