ALBANY, N.Y. – The Niagara women’s tennis team fell in its conference match against Siena, 5-2, on Sunday afternoon.
Niagara (5-15, 2-3 MAAC) lost two of the three doubles matches. Raquel Solis and Brittany Walters defeated Danielle Crill and Elora Benfer, 8-4, for the Purple Eagles’ only win.
In singles action, Niagara’s No.1 Hilary Hansen topped Jasleen Sandhu, 6-3, 6-2. Walters continued her recent good form for her sixth-straight win when she defeated Brittany Filip, 6-3, 6-3.
Niagara plays in its final non-conference match of the season on Tuesday when its faces Little 3 rival St. Bonaventure.
