Women’s Tennis Loses to Marist

NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The Niagara University women’s tennis team suffered its first Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference loss of the season, falling to Marist College, 7-0, Saturday. With the loss, the Purple Eagles are now 7-10 overall and 4-1 in the league.

Senior Danielle Grenier (Fort Erie, Ont.) and sophomores Shella Dargout (Rochester, N.Y.) and Kim Roberts (Victoria, B.C.) all went three sets at No. 2, No. 4 and No. 6 singles, respectively, but were unable to score for Niagara.

The Purple Eagles return to action Sunday when they meet Siena College.
