NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. – The Niagara University women’s tennis team was shutout Friday, 7-0, by the University of Buffalo at Sportsplex.
Senior Mariam Al-Shikarchy (Fonthill, Ont.) and junior Danielle Greiner (Ft. Erie, Pa.) collected the lone win for the Purple Eagles when they won 8-6 at No. 1 doubles over Andreea Novaceanu and Tina Jacob. The Niagara pair is now 11-3 overall and 6-2 in dual matches.
Niagara returns to action March 5 when it resumes Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play at Saint Peter’s.
