, N.Y. – The Niagara University women’s tennis team dropped to 2-1 on the season when it lost 5-2 to Oakland University (4-1) Saturday afternoon at the Lifetime Fitness Center in Rochester, Mich.
Junior Julianne Prokopich (Loretto, Ont.) and freshmand Victoria Tiso (Clarence, N.Y./Clarence) registered the Purple Eagles two points. Prokopich defeated Lisa Pellafone at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-3, and Tiso beat Jessica Erickson 7-5, 11-9 at No. 6 singles. Both players remain undefeated in dual matches at 2-0 and 3-0, respectively.
Niagara returns to action Sunday afternoon when it meets Detorit at noon at Schoolcraft College at noon.
