Edison, N.J. - Niagara women's soccer freshman Naiya Johnston was named the Metro Conference Rooke of the Week. 

 

Georgetown, Ontario native Naiya Johnston was named the Metro Conference Rookie of the Week after registering one goal and one assist in the Purple Eagles' 3-1 win over the Iona Gaels. Johnston has scored in back-to-back contests, bringing her total to two goals this season, and has four assists, leading the team in assists in six games. The freshman currently ranks first in the conference in assists per game and total assists and is eighth in the conference in points per game. Her 0.67 assists per game is 16th best in the nation, and total assists put her at 35th in the nation.
