Niagara University, NY - Niagara baseball senior pitcher Andrew Damiani was named to the NCBWA 2026 Stopper of the Year Midseason Watchlist.

Damiani was one of 62 players named to the list and only one of two from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.

Damiani has appeared in 21 games this season, with two wins and 38 strikeouts in 34.2 innings. The Williamsville, NY native also sits tied for seventh in the country with nine saves.

The Purple Eagles continue their season Tuesday April 28 taking on Little Three rival Saint Bonaventure at 3:00 PM.
