Box Score 2 Niagara University, NY — Niagara's men's and women's tennis teams split in matches against Rider on Friday. The men took down the Broncs 4-3, while the women fell 3-4.
Niagara dropped the doubles point, falling in the No. 2 and No. 3 positions, but the duo of Tanner Bedard and Vid Maric came out victorious 6-4 at the No. 1 position.
Bedard also came out victorious at the No. 1 singles position in a third set. The Purple Eagles fell at the No. 2 and No. 4 positions. Mikolaj Kowal, Gurustat Makkar and Rohan Srivastava all won their singles matches at the No. 3, No. 5 and No. 6 positions respectively.
On the women's side Niagara earned the doubles point with Gabriela Melo and Isabel Garcia winning at the No. 1 doubles, while the duo of Saloni Tamang and Mercedes Velasco won at the No. 3 doubles.
Larisa Kotok and Tamang were victorious at the No. 3 and No. 4 positions, but the Purple Eagles dropped all the other positions to ultimately fall in the contest.
