Lawrenceville, N.J. — Men's Tennis fell to Rider 7-0 Sunday afternoon.
In doubles, Niagara's Logan Wong and Jose Maria Garcia pushed Rider's Matteus Forberg Dahlin and Cole Thurgur to 4-3 before the match was halted. The tandem of Ekansh Shukla and Shravan Somasi fell to Heath Paul Waters and Ibragim Turgambekov, 6-1, while Ary Bhawan and Sarosh Rustomjee dropped their match against Axel Engstrom and Roger Martinez, 6-1.
Rider went on to claim all six singles flights without dropping a set. Forberg Dahlin defeated Garcia, 6-3, 6-0, at No. 1. Cole Thurgur handled Bhawan, 6-2, 6-4, at No. 2. Waters defeated Wong, 6-4, 6-1, at No. 3. Engstrom topped Rustomjee, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 4. Nathan Slattery blanked Shukla, 6-2, 6-0, at No. 5. Matthew Griscti closed out the sweep with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Somasi at No. 6.
