Trumbull, Conn. — Niagara men's tennis wrapped up the regular season falling to Fairfield 4-0 Sunday afternoon at the Tennis Club of Trumbull.
All three doubles matches were left unfinished and did not factor into the final score. In singles play, Fairfield swept the four completed matches while the two remaining bouts were also left unfinished.
Diego Alcala, Domagoj Stabek, Pol Otin and Alex Aguiar each posted straight-set singles wins for the Stags.
Alcala beat Logan Wong 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles, while Stabek topped Sarosh Rustomjee 7-5, 6-0 at No. 4. Otin rolled past Ekansh Shukla 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5, and Aguiar beat Shravan Somasi 6-3, 6-3 at No. 6.
The No. 1 match between Niagara's Jose Maria Garcia and Fairfield's Kacper Krolikowski was left unfinished after Garcia dropped the first-set tiebreak 7-3 and the two were level in the second. At No. 3, Ary Bhawan and Kostas Kollias were deadlocked in a third set after splitting the first two.
