Lewisburg, Pa. - Multiple school records fell as the Niagara Women's Track and Field team continued their outdoor season competing in the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic over the weekend.
On Saturday Alissa Mete started off the event breaking the school record in the 3000m steeplechase, placing third in her heat with a time of 11:32.63. Sarah Mruk also competed in the steeplechase, crossing the line in 11:52.89.
The second school record of the day fell when Alexa Briggs capped off the night with the 10k, finishing in 37:31.92. On the track side, Hannah Adderley-Julien placed eighth in the long jump with a 5.35.
More school records fell on Sunday as Clara Barr broke the school record in the 100m hurdles, crossing the line in 15.02. Deborah Borysewicz followed that up by breaking the 200m school record with a time of 24.98.
The 4x100 team of Sapphire John, Soraya Ross, Adderley-Julien and Borysewicz placed seventh finishing in 48.30. Sara Mueller placed 15th in the one mile race, crossing the line in 5:24.60.
