Box Score ORLANDO, Fla. — The Niagara University men's tennis team came up just short in a tightly contested match against St. Thomas Aquinas College on Friday, falling 4-3 at the Aquinas courts.
The Purple Eagles showed their strength in doubles play, capturing two of three matches to secure the crucial doubles point. The duo of
Tanner Bedard and
Vid Maric dominated with a 6-0 victory, while
Gurustat Makkar and
Rohan Srivastava also impressed with a 6-4 win.
In singles action, Maric delivered a strong performance in the No. 2 position, defeating Don Vez Lominoque 6-4, 7-5.
Rohan Srivastava also came through for the Purple Eagles with a convincing 6-2, 6-2 victory in the No. 6 spot.
Ondrej Sramek added another point for Niagara in the No. 4 singles match with a 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 comeback win, showcasing remarkable resilience after dropping the first set.
Despite these victories, St. Thomas Aquinas managed to secure enough singles matches to claim the overall 4-3 win.
