GENEVA, Ohio - Niagara University took commanding leads in both the men's and women's team standings during day two of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday.

The Purple Eagles set multiple program and conference records en route to building a 289-184 lead over Marist and Fairfield in the women's competition. On the men's side, Niagara holds a narrow 232.5-219.5 advantage over Marist.

Sophomore
Natalie Killion highlighted the evening by shattering both team and MAAC Championship records in the women's 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:48.18. Sophomore
Alaina Pitton followed with a team record in the 200-yard individual medley (2:02.03), while senior
Nathan Dragon established a new program mark in the men's 50-yard freestyle (19.78).

Niagara closed out the night by sweeping the 200-yard freestyle relays with conference meet records in both events. The women's team of
Paige South,
Megan Jackson,
Claire Gorton and Pitton touched first in 1:32.90, while the men's quartet of
Levi Morgan,
Reid Tichy, Jake Wade and Dragon won in 1:19.64.
