NIAGARA UNIVERISTY, NY – Niagara picked up a 6-1 win over the visiting Daemen Wildcats on Sunday afternoon.
In doubles action, Niagara earned wins in the No. 1 and No. 2 position as
Tanner Bedard and
Vid Maric topped Garcia and Mergens, 6-2, while
Rohan Srivastava and
Gurustat Makkar defeated Lumanog and Alverez, 7-5, to take the point.
Niagara won five of the six singles matches, with the only win for Daemen coming by default. Bedard earned a win in No. 1 singles, defeating Chitanand (6-0, 2-3) and Maric earned a 6-, 6-1, win over Garcia in the No. 2 position.
On court three, Makkar earned a 6-3, 6-0, victory over Mergens.
José Maria García defeated Lumanog (6-2, 6-2) in No. 4 singles while Strivastava capped off the NU victory with a 6-3, 6-2, win over Alvarez.
