Niagara Falls, N.Y.—Niagara junior Vincent Mauro has been named an All-Star in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL). Mauro is playing for the Niagara Power and has a .342 batting average this summer.
The Niagara Falls, N.Y. native has had 114 at bats for the Power and had 39 hits which included 10 doubles and a homer. He leads the Power with 24 RBI this season while being seventh in the whole PGCBL which consists of 16 teams across New York State.
Along with his .342 average which is ninth in the league he has stolen 15 bases which is third in the league. His 114 at bats is tied for the second most in the league.
As a sophomore with the Purple Eagles in 2023, Mauro played in 44 games while hitting a career-high nine homers and driving in 43 runs. He had 11 multi RBI games along with a six RBI game and a five RBI game. On Mar. 26 he hit for the cycle against Saint Peter's, it was just the third in Niagara history since 2000.
