Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Emmitsburg, MD—The Niagara tennis teams traveled to Maryland to take on Mount St. Mary's in a MAAC matchup. After being postponed on Saturday the teams played on Sunday. The men took a 6-1 win over the Mount while the women fell 6-1 in their match.
Men's Recap
Doubles

• The Purple Eagles took the doubles point despite falling in first doubles. Gurustat Makkar and Jorge Sedeno teamed up in second doubles and won 6-4 in their match.
• In third doubles, Roberto Vaca and Manuel Alonso secured the point with a 6-3 win.

Singles

• Tanner Bedard notched a win in second singles. He won the first set 6-0 before winning the second set 6-4 to earn the win.
• Trevor Masi was slotted into third singles. After falling in the opening set 6-4, he forced a third set with a 6-2 in in the second set. He went on to win the tiebreaker to earn the point.
• Alonso used his momentum from doubles going into singles. He won the opening set 7-6 and earned the win in the second set with a 6-3 win.
• Sedeno won his fourth singles match in straight sets as he won both sets 6-2.
• In sixth singles Makkar won in straight sets 6-4, 6-0.

Women's Recap
Doubles

• Erika Gonzalez and Enrica Favaron teamed up in third doubles and won the lone Purple Eagle win in doubles with a 6-3 win.

Singles

• Gonzalez took her momentum from doubles into third singles as she won the first set 7-5 and then secured the point with a 6-2 win.
• Corl Rodriguez fell in first singles while Elena Mayet also fell in second singles.

Niagara Notes

• It is the first time that Niagara has faced the Mount in a MAAC matchup since Mount St. Mary's joined the MAAC.
• With the win, the men's team is now 1-1 in MAAC play this season, it was their fourth win overall this season.
