Purple Eagles Drop Non-Conference Match To Binghamton

Box Score Binghamton, N.Y.—The Niagara men's tennis team faced Binghamton on Thursday. The Purple Eagles fell 6-1 to the Bearcats.

Doubles Singles
  • Makkar picked up the lone Purple Eagle point as he was slotted in the fifth singles position. He dominated the first set 6-1 but fell 7-5 in the second set. He took the third set 6-4 to earn the Purple Eagle point.
  • In second doubles Alonso forced a third set after falling 6-4 in the first set. In the second set he won 6-3 but ultimately fell 7-6 in the third set.
  • Masi was slotted in third singles forced three set. He dropped the first set 6-4 but responded in the second set as he won 6-4 to even the match. In the tie breaker he fell 7-6.
  • Bodak fell 6-2, 6-1 in first singles while Sedeno, and Vaca also fell in straight sets.
