Philadelphia, Pa.—Tanner Bedard and Trevor Masi were both in action for Niagara men's tennis at ITA Regionals.
Both won their singles matches on Friday and were paired up in doubles as they won two matches on Friday.
The duo were first in action at 9 AM as they faced a duo from Saint Francis to open the day. The teams played a back-and-forth match that Niagara eventually won. Bedard and Masi took the 8-6 win the round of 16. On Sunday the duo will face a team from the host Penn with a trip to ITA Super Regionals on the line. If a team advances to the regional semifinals, they earn a bid to the ITA Super Regionals. They will be in action at 9 AM on Sunday.
Bedard faced Pinzon from Cornell in his round of 64 match. In the opening the two went to a tiebreaker that Bedard fell 7-3 in. In the second ser, Bedard fell 7-5 to end his singles run.
Masi was unable to play in his singles match which ended his singles run following a win on Friday.
Masi and Bedard are back in action on Sunday in the ITA Regional Quarterfinal.
