BETHLEHEM, PA – The Purple and White set multiple PR's in both the women's and men's races at the 48th Annual Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh Friday in Bethlehem, Pa.
Women's Recap
•
Annina Marullo continued her fast start to the season, posting a time of 23:00.1 in the Women's Brown 6k, to pace the Purple Eagles.
•
Alissa Mete and
Margaret Nawojski followed with time of 23:30.8 and 23:41.0, respectively.
•
Sara Mueller crossed the finish line with a time of 24:11.2, followed by
Kate Pratt with a time of 26:37.6 to round out the scoring for Niagara.
•
Lydia Chunco posted a time of 28:12.1.
Men's Recap
• The Niagara men were once again led by
Braden York, who crossed the line in 26:30.8.
•
Caleb Noble and
Bobby Adams followed with times of 27:22.1 and 29:04.0, respectively.
•
Brendan Kelly finished the 8k with a time of 30:04.9.
• With only four runners competing, Niagara did not generate a team score.

"Both teams continue to battle through injuries and we couldn't be prouder of the accomplishments the team's had today at the Paul Short."
"We are looking forward to seeing the team grow in the coming weeks before the MAAC Championships at the end of October."

Niagara Notes
• Five of the Niagara women set PR's Friday, with Marullo, Mete, and Nawojski finishing with top-10 6k program times.
• Marullo now sits fifth all-time, while Mete and Nawojski are eighth and 10th in program history.
• York shaved two minutes off his collegiate best 8k time and found himself a spot in the top-10 of Niagara's all-time performances.
• Noble also shattered his career-best 8k time with his performance Friday and joined York in Niagara's top-10.
• Kelly also recorded a collegiate best time Friday in Bethlehem.
