Buffalo, NY – The Niagara Purple Eagles wrapped up the regular season at the 2025 Canisius Alumni Classic on Saturday at Delaware Park in Buffalo, NY.
The Niagara men finished 9th out of 14 teams with 226 points on the 8K course. The Purple Eagles were led by Caleb Noble, who placed 33rd overall in 26:55.3 to earn top honors for Niagara.
Ryan Capo was the second Purple Eagle across the line, finishing 43rd in 27:20.2, followed closely by Chase Bolen, in 45th place (27:24.1). Junior Caleb Harman (52nd, 28:03.4) and junior Luc Diflavio(53rd, 28:06.9) rounded out Niagara's scoring five.
Sophomore Michael Flannery (54th, 28:20.0) and junior Brendan Wangler (76th, 30:29.3) also competed for the Purple Eagles.
Binghamton won the team title with 40 points, followed by Detroit Mercy (70) and SUNY Geneseo (72).
The Niagara women placed 10th in a field of 14 teams, scoring 273 points in the 5K.
Haley Haskett paced the Purple Eagles with a 20th-place finish in 19:01.8. Olivia Meier was Niagara's second scorer in 32nd place (19:38.7).
The Purple Eagles' remaining scorers were Sheila Strott (70th, 21:43.5), Annabelle Pacouloute (71st, 21:50.5), and Allie Moran (80th, 22:54.3).
Addison Pound also competed, finishing 85th in 23:37.6.
Binghamton took the team title with just 20 points and placed all five scorers in the top eight individually.
Both Niagara squads will head to the MAAC Championships Saturday Nov. 1 hosted by Manhattan University at Twin Ponds on the Farm in Montgomery, NY.
