NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, NY – The Niagara men's and women's are coming off wins against Fairfield last Sunday and will host Rochester and Rider this weekend at home.
Friday's match against U of R will be played at the Niagara Tennis Courts on the campus of Niagara University and Saturday will take place at the Village Glen Courts.
Last Time Out
Women's Singles
• Niagara took four of the six singles matches Sunday afternoon.
• In No. 3 singles, Rodriguez took home a 6-4, 6-2 win over Fairfields Nowalk.
• No. 4 singles saw
Jaida Borg defeat Fairfields Bakaite 6-3, 6-2.

Erika Gonzalez defeated Hutchinson in straight-sets, 6-3, 6-2.

Mercedes Velasco clinched the win for NU with a 7-5, 6-3 win over Maizch in the sixth position.

Elena Mayet and
Megan Gamble dropped their No. 1 and Nom 2 singles duals, respectively.
Women's Doubles
• Fairfield took two of the three doubles competitions to earn the point.
• No. 2 doubles did not finish.
Men's Singles
• Just like in the women's match, Niagara took four of the possible six singles competitions.
• In the No. 3 slot
Tanner Bedard went three sets to get the win over Fairfields Hodges, 7-5, 3-6, 6-2.
• Jorge Sedeno picked up a 6-1, 6-3 win on court four.
• The No. 5 match between
Gurustat Makkar and Fairfields Schlesingel went three sets to decide the match. The Purple Eagle freshman won 5-7, 6-4, 6-4

William Gothlin picked up a win on court six, 6-4, 6-4.
• Trevor Masi fell to the Stag's Gore on court one while
Manuel Alonso dropped a three-set match on court two.
Men's Doubles
• Niagara took the No. 1 doubles dual as Masi and Bedard defeated the Stags top pairing 6-3.
• The Purple and White fell on the second and third doubles matches, awarding Fairfield the point.
Up Next
• The Purple and White continue their season-ending homestand prior to the start postseason play. The women will play Le Moyne (April 15) and Monmouth (April 16) to end the year and the men will conclude their season with Monmouth on April 16.
