NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, NY – The Niagara men's and women's tennis teams travel to the Nutmeg State to take on MAAC foe's Quinnipaic and Fairfield this weekend.  
 
Last Time Out
Men
• The men defeated RIT, 7-2 Tuesday afternoon.
• 
Manuel Alonso returned to the No. 1 slot for the first time in since mid-February and picked up the win over RIT's Christian Berko, 7-5, 6-0.
• Niagara's standout freshman 
Tanner Bedard dispatched Grahith Movva, 6-0, 6-1, picking up his first career win on court two.
• 
Jorge Sedeno defeated Jake Wolicki, 6-4, 6-1, and is now 2-0 in the No. 3 singles position this season.
• 
Gurustat Makkar picked up a win in the No. 4 dual, defeating RIT's Joel Pho, 6-1, 6-2
• Bolivian 
Roberto Vaca picked up a 6-0, 6-3 win in No. 5 singles match against RIT's Max Chang.
• 
Eduardo Villalpando picked up his first win since Feb. 27, defeating Carter Casimir, 6-2, 6-3
.
• The Tigers top pairing of Jake Wolicki and Jacob Meyerson defeated NU's top doubles dua  Bedard and Makkar, 8-6
•  In No. 2 doubles, Villalpando and Sedeno , dispatched RIT's Joel Pho and Carter Casimir 8-3
• RIT picked up the No. 3 doubles win as Grahith Movva and Christian Berko dropped Alonso and 
Salvador Vazquez 8-5.
 
Women
• The Purple and White fell to Marist last Saturday by the score of 5-2.
• The Purple Eagles only picked up one singles point in their loss to Marist.
• 
Erika Gonzalez took Vanessa Canio three sets, defeating the Red Fox, 5-7, 6-1, 1-0(retired).
• No. 1 singles went to Marist as 
Elena Mayet fell, 6-4, 6-4, to Deana Giambo.
• 
Coral Rodriguez dropped her No. 2 singles dual to Jane Bockman, 7-5, 6-1.
• In No. 3 singles, 
Jaida Borg was defeated by Ellen Zureick, 7-5, 4-6.
• No. 5 singles saw freshman 
Mercedes Velasco go three sets with Lea Lambert, but it was the Red Fox who came out on top.
• 
Kirah Regales dropped her No. 6 singles match with Andriana Zaphiris, 6-3, 6-0.
• Niagara won all three doubles matches to take the doubles point.
• Gonzalez and Borg defeated the Red Fox duo of Giambo and Bockman, 6-3, on court one.
• In No. 3 doubles, Mayet and Velasco dispatched Lambert and Zaphiris, 6-4.
• Niagara's duo of 
Madigan Humiston and Rodriguez defeated Marist's Zureick and Canio, 7-5.
