NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, NY – Niagara opens its Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference schedule this Saturday with a dual match against Siena at the South Towns Tennis Courts in Orchard Park.
 
Last Time Out
• Niagara went 1-1 last weekend, defeating Lafayette and falling to Hobart.
• The Purple and White won five of the six singles matches against Lafayette and swept doubles action.
• 
Trevor Masi went 1-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles action with teammate 
Tanner Bedard.
• 
Manuel Alonso went 2-0 in singles action for Niagara, picking up wins in the third and second positions.
• Niagara's 
Eduardo Villalpando also went 2-0 in singles action, earning wins in the sixth and fourth slots.
 
Niagara Notes
• Bedard was named MAAC Player of the Week on Feb. 21. The freshman is 6-2 in dual match singles action this season.
• Masi is undefeated this season, heading into Saturday with a perfect 8-0 record.
• Alonso is 4-5 on the season but has won three of his last four singles matches.
• In doubles action, Niagara is 16-8 as a team.
• Alonso and 
William Gothlin are 3-1 in No. 2 doubles this season but have not competed with each other since  early February.
• Villalpando and 
Jorge Sedeno are 4-1 as a pairing.
• Masi and Bedard are 4-2 as doubles partners and went 2-0 last weekend.
