NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, NY – The Niagara men's and women's swimming and diving teams will head to the Burt Flickinger Center in downtown Buffalo for the MAAC Swimming and Diving Championships Wednesday through Wednesday through Saturday.
 
Niagara Notes: Women's Team
•  Paige South (23.80), Katrina Wardner (23.82) and Moana Houde-Camirand (23.96) hold three of the conference's top five times in the 50 free.
• Wardner holds the MAAC's second fastest time in the 100 free (51.50), while holding the fastest time in the 200 free  
• Houde-Camirand, South and Yvonne Schere hold the leagues fifth, sixth and seventh fastest times this season in the 100 free.  
• Avery Sanquist recorded a time of 10:24.71 at the Zippy Invite in the 1000 free and a time of 17:23.60 in the 1650 free which stands as the second-best time in the league.
• South has the third best time in the 50 back with 26.62 and the fifth best time with a mark of 56.80 in the 100 back.
• Amanda Silva has the MAAC's third best time in the 50 breast with a time of 30.59, while Kathryn Brady holding down the sixth spot with a time of 31.15.
• Brady, Silva and Smith hold down the MAAC's third, fourth and fifth best times in the 100 breast with marks of 1:05.29, 1:05.84 and 1:06.11, respectively.
• Brady also holds the second-best time in the MAAC in the 200 breast with a time of 2:20.50.
• In the 100 fly, Zoe Gavin has a time of 57.27 which ranks fifth in the MAAC. She also holds the league's second-best time in the 200 fly with a time of 2:05.85.
• Wardner holds the league's best times in the 100 and 200 IM with marks of 59.05 and 2:04.59, while holding the conferences second-best time in the 400 IM with a time of 4:27.57.
• Niagara holds the MAAC's top 200 free relay time as the Purple Eagles recorded a time of 1:35.47 at the Zippy Invite.
• The Purple and White also hold the top time heading into the MAAC's penultimate event with a time of 3:28.95.
• Sydney Sarkis holds the third best score on the 1-meter board (227.33).
 
Niagara Notes: Men's Team
• Kevin Vu holds the league's second-best time in the 50 free with a time of 20.52 and the third-best time in the 100 free with a time of 45.63. Vu also holds the second-best time in the 50 fly (22.87) and 100 fly (49.85).
• Reid Tichy holds the second-best MAAC time in the 200 free with a mark of 1:40.00. Nathan Dragon is fourth in the MAAC in the 200 free with a time of 1:40.17.
• Dragon's time of 4:29.69 in the 500 free is second-best in the conference, while his teammate Tichy's time of 4:34.68 is fifth best.
• Dragon also holds the fourth best time in the 1000 and 1650 free events.
• Tanner Isaacs has the leagues second best time in the 50 breast when he finished with a time of 26.14 at the Zippy Invite. The sophomore also has the second-best time in the 100 breast with a time of 56.47.
• Sean Finley's 200 breast time of 2:05.51 is third best in the conference this season.
• In the 100 IM, Vu ranks second in the MAAC with a time of 54.27.
• Niagara's 400 free relay team holds the MAAC's top time with a mark of 3:03.89, while the Purple Eagles 200 medley relay is third in the MAAC with a time of 1:31.47.
• Diver John Furner holds the best score on the 3-meter board and the second-best on the 1-meter.
