EDISON, N.J. – Niagara University's
Ola Bodyl has been named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Swimmer of the Week following her stellar performance against Stonehill on Nov. 9.
The freshman won two individual events, leading the Purple Eagles to a 178-76 victory. Bodyl claimed first place in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:06.03 and dominated the 400-yard IM, touching the wall at 4:29.10, which set a new program benchmark.
She also contributed to Niagara's winning 200-yard breaststroke relay team, swimming the third leg as the Purple Eagles finished with a time of 2:01.64.
The victory helped Niagara remain undefeated in dual meets this season.
