NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, NY – The Purple and White rounded up the Magnus Cup today. The women's team finished in 5
th place with 438 points while the men's team finished in 7
th place with 525.5 points.
Women's Recap
• The women's team started the day with the 1650 Yard Freestyle.
Avery King placed fifth with a time of 17.20.72 followed by
Allison Stoehr and Jill De Reyna in 20
th and 21
st respectively.
•
Paige South broke the school record in the 100 freestyle with a time of 51.39 which was previously held by Katrina Wardner with a 51.50.
•
Ania Bodyl led the way in the 200 yard backstroke finishing in 32
nd with a 2.08.33 followed by
Maddie Hudson right behind in 33
rd with a 2.08.61
•
Kathryn Brady finished the 200 yard breaststroke in eighth place with a time of 2.21.89 with
Megan Smith in ninth with a 2.22.91.

Zoe Gavin placed 15
th in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2.08.25. Chloe Vlaeminick was behind in 24
th with a 2.09.45.
• Niagara rounded out the competition with the 400 yard freestyle relay where a team of
Moana Houde-Camirand ,
Lila Maddux, South, and Smith placed eighth with a time of 3.28.99. The team of
Nia Thomas, Bodyl, King, and Brady finished 24
th with a 3.37.08.
Men's Recap
• The men started the day with the 1650 yard freestyle.
Nathan Dragon led the way in eighth with a time of 16.00.89 followed by
Riley Dafoe in 16
th with a 16.26.93.

John Furner broke the Magnus Cup meet record in tower diving today with a score of 187.20
•
Reid Tichy completed the 200 yard backstroke in 1.54.89 placing 14
th.
•
Kevin Vu finished the 100 yard freestyle in 12
th with a time of 46.23 followed by
Levi Morgan in 19
th with a 46.78
•
Sean Finley placed 13
th in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2.06.14 with
Jake Lauzonis and
Tanner Isaacs finished in 21
st and 22
nd respectively.

Jake Ruffolo finished 21
st with a time of 1.53.86 followed by
Chad Rocha in 29
th with a 1.58.65 in the 200 yard butterfly.
• The Purple Eagles rounded out the day with the 400 yard freestyle relay. A team of Tichy, Dragon, Vu, and Morgan placed 7
th with a time of 3.04.46 followed by the team of
Rowan Markham,
Alex Magditch, Dafoe, and Ruffolo in 13
th with a 3.07.44.
