The Niagara men's tennis teams start its season on Saturday hosting local foe St. Bonaventure at the South Towns Tennis Center in Orchard Park, N.Y.
 

SCENE SETTER

• Niagara was 4-5, including a 3-1 record in home matches, when the season was ended due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
• Niagara returns seven letterwinners from last season's team.
• The Purple Eagles were picked sixth in the 2021 MAAC Men's Tennis Preseason Poll.
• The Purple Eagles and Bonnies will meet for the first time since the 2017-18 season. Niagara has dropped the last four meetings.

• Pere Padro led the Purple Eagles with a career-high 12 wins, including a 5-2 record in dual matches, last season
• Manuel Alonso was second on the team in wins with 10, including a 3-0 mark in three singles. Alonso was a four-match win streak when the season abruptly ended.
