The Niagara Purple Eagles open their conference schedule hosting the Rider Broncs on the newly-renovated Niagara Tennis Courts on Saturday.

• The Purple Eagles will play their first dual match after opening the season at the Bucknell Invitational.
• The Purple Eagles have won the last 19 meetings versus the Broncs.

• Darrel Harxhi and Jorge Sedeno Nieto won all three of their matches to claim the A championship.
• Bruno Goncalves and Pere Padro Parra finished in third place in the B championship bracket.
• Jorge Sedeno advanced to the A championship final where he fell to Bucknell's Cooper Bradshaw, 6-2, 6-3. Sedeno picked up wins over Howard's Kyle Martin (6-0, 6-3), and Bucknell's Chunyu Chen (6-4, 6-4).
• In the C championship bracket, Pere Padro Parra advanced to the final with wins over Howard's Lorenz Lowe, 2-6, 6-2, 11-9, and Saint Francis' Andrew Teixeira, 6-4, 6-1. His opponent retired in the final.

 
Across The Net – Rider Broncs

• The Broncs opened their season at the Villanova Invitational from September 13-15.
• Rider were led by Peter Komosinski who went 3-0 in singles.

• Niagara rallied to beat Rider, 4-3.
• After losing the doubles point, the Purple Eagles bounced back in singles, winning four out of six matches. NU won in 3 through 6 singles.
