GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Purple Eagles baseball team was shutout by the North Carolina A&T Aggies, 6-0, on Sunday.

Game Recap
  • The Aggies took a 5-0 lead over the Purple Eagles in the bottom of the third inning after a grand slam, followed by a solo homerun.
  • North Carolina A&T extended its lead, 6-0, in the fourth frame with an RBI single.
  • The Purple Eagles weren't able to catch up to the Aggies, falling to North Carolina A&T in their final game of their three-game series.

Coach's Corner
  • "We obviously didn't get the results we wanted this weekend," said head coach Rob McCoy. "However, we saw many good things that we will definitely be able to build upon. Because we lost so many significant contributors from last year, we will have some growing pains until our young players figure out how to navigate games at this level. We remain as confident as ever in what this team can ultimately accomplish."
