WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – The Niagara men's tennis team dropped a close match to the Fairfield Stags, 5-2, on Saturday night.
 
Match Summary

• Niagara was nipped in doubles, dropping two of the three matches.
• The team of Eduardo Villalpando and Finnbar Adams was edged 7-6(3) in No. 1 doubles after Niagara's No. 3 team lost. The Purple Eagles' No. 2 pair (Taylan Ozdemir and Josh Wilson) won 7-5.
• The Purple Eagles' two points came from their top two singles players – Taylan Ozdemir and Josh Wilson.
• Wilson defeated Lewis Edwards in straight sets as NU trailed 3-1.
• Ozdemir topped Tyler Shibles, 7-6(3), 6-4, in No. 1 singles.
