WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – The Niagara University men's tennis team picked up its first win of the season with an 8-1 victory over the Daemen College Wildcats on Wednesday.

  • Niagara won two of the three doubles matches to take a 2-1 lead.
  • Niagara's No. 1 team of Taylan Ozdemir and Finnbar Adams won 8-2 and the No. 2 team of Josh Wilson and Brent Boleslav won 8-4.
  • NU won all six singles matches.
  • Shyam Srinviasasn picked up a 7-6, 6-0 in six singles.
  • Ozdemir won in straight sets at one singles, 6-1, 6-3.
  • Pere Padro earned a three-set win.

  • Wilson rallied for a 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory in two singles.
  • Boleslav bounced back after dropping the first set to win in three sets.
