Michigan State Downs Men’s Tennis

EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Niagara Purple Eagles were defeated by Michigan State, 7-0, on Sunday.

Match Summary
  • Niagara's No. 1 doubles team of Taylan Ozdemir and Francis Nadeau was winning at 5-2 when the match was called as the Spartan clinched the doubles point.
  • MSU won 6-1 in No. 2 doubles and won the last three points to pull out the win in No. 3 doubles.
  • The Spartans won all six matches in singles.
  • Ozdemir dropped a three-setter to Ivan Rakic in No. 2 singles. After losing the first set, Ozdemir won the second set, 6-3. He lost the third set tiebreaker, 10-3.
